My name is Mickey Fluitt and I love a good pickle. One day back in the 90's, I was teaching at Slidell Jr. High when another teacher put a jar of pickles she made on my desk. When I tasted them it reminded me of the Upside Down Pickle that was from New Orleans and Sweet Crispy Pics by the Rainbow Company out of Wiggins, MS. Both of those companies were long gone by then. After much persuasion (and begging) I got her to teach me how to make them. It is an old southern recipe that has been in kitchens forever but no one ever thought to market them. One thing led to another and here I am now. I make about 200 jars a day, when I'm working and have been selling them as fast as I can make them. It's been a crazy ride with a multitude of stories to go with it. When time allows, I will record those stories for all to see. Okay so I'm confirmed as crazy. Rumors of the "Ghost Pickles" are true. They are made with flakes of the infamous "Ghost Chili". They are HOT but tolerable and very tasty. The pickle is back AGAIN!! It first disappeared in October 2008 and was returned 2 days later. Recently it vanished again (June 1st) and waited for 2 months to return (July 31st). As of June 2010, it's gone again!
I believe the following video my contain some incriminating evidence!

For those of ya'll new to Mickle's Pickles, welcome. For some reason, somehow, you have found your way to my website and I thank you for that. I have been making Mickle's Pickles for about 12 years now and I still can't stop eating them! It has been 11 years ago that I began "selling" pickles and this will be my tenth year that I have been out of teaching (7th grade Math 17 yrs!!) so I could make/sell Mickle's Pickles fulltime.
